After a nationwide search that began in March, the New Mexico State Board of Regents on Thursday named the university's new president.

New Mexico State University (NMSU), after an extensive search, announced its new president on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 19, through the university’s X account. Valerio Ferme, Ph.D. has been selected by NMSU’s Board of Regents to be president,
