Wednesday, Oct. 22: NHC's update on Tropical Storm Melissa

The National Hurricane Center's 11 p.m. Wednesday advisory reported that Tropical Storm Melissa is in the Caribbean Sea, 335 miles south-southwest of Port Au Prince Haiti and 295 miles south-southeast of Kingston Jamaica. Packing maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, the system is tracking to the west at 2 mph.
