A man wanted in connection with the death of a woman in Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police have confirmed. Paul Antony Butler, 53, had been arrested about 20 miles away in Liskeard and remains in police custody, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

As the investigation ramps up, police have called for a complete closure of a large part of Millbay and West Hoe. Plymouth Highways, a social media account run by Plymouth City Council, said: "Police have asked for a full closure of the area marked on the attached map".
