California Storm With Feet Of Sierra Snow, Avalanche, Locally Flooding Rain Continues Through Thursday
A first round of heavy rain and mountain snow blanketed California Sunday and Monday. There's still more to come through Thursday. Here are the latest reports and forecast.
A flood threat remains for millions across much of the California coast as another round of moisture pushes inland off the Pacific Ocean, after Monday's storms shattered daily rain records.
"It will be a wet week across California as a series of storm systems slam into the state," an AccuWeather meteorologist said.

Feet of snow to bury California mountains through next week
Widespread rounds of mountain snow in California will continue through Thursday night, with additional pass closures. As yet more storms roll in from the Pacific, they will focus on the mountains of Northern California and expand over Oregon and Washington through nearly the end of February.
The coldest system of the season is bringing heavy rain to Northern California and snow to higher elevations, with Sierra foothill communities also bracing for a chill.
