Trump intends to appoint Mark Burnett to serve as special envoy to the United Kingdom. That's odd for a couple of reasons.
President-elect Donald Trump has named veteran British television producer Mark Burnett as Special Envoy to the United Kingdom, part of a broader slate of administration appointments announced on his Truth Social platform Saturday.
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said Burnett "brings a unique blend of diplomatic acumen and international recognition to this important role."
