Third periods and overtime have not been kind to the San Jose Sharks all season, and that was the case again Thursday night. After allowing a game-tying goal early in the third period, the Sharks allowed a goal to Cole Caufield at the 3:21 mark of overtime and lost 4-3 to the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.
San Jose led 10-5 in shots in the period, four of which came on its two power plays. Celebrini led the way with seven shot attempts, including one that hit the post and another that deflected off the crossbar during the final minute.
