The Calgary Flames were able to greatly improve their roster last night with the additions of Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee.

The Flames welcomed centre Morgan Frost and left-winger Joel Farabee — both in their mid-20s, and both drafted as first-rounders — in a jaw-dropper of a deal Thursday with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Andrei Kuzmenko was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers by the Calgary Flames for Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee on Thursday. The Flyers also acquired Jakob Pelletier, a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and a seventh-round pick in the 2028 Draft.

The Flyers made a late-night shakeup, reaching a deal with the Flames that sent longtime faces Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to Calgary. In return, the Flyers are getting wingers Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier, a second-round draft pick this summer and a seventh-round draft pick in 2028.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced they have acquired forwards Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier, as well as a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and seventh round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft from the Calgary Flames in exchange for forwards Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost, according to General Manager, Daniel Briere.

Calgary general manager Craig Conroy confirmed that left-wingers Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier and a pair of draft picks were traded to the Philadelphia Flyers for centre Morgan Frost and left-winger Joel Farabee.

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired left wings Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier – and two draft picks – in the trade.

Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost played their last game with the Flyers on Thursday night. The team sent both forwards to Calgary in a trade with the Flames. In return, the Flyers received Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, a 2025 second-round pick and 2028 seventh-round pick.
