The latest round of Washington Capitals rumors suggest that the organization is ready to move on from its current core.

The Washington Capitals could see David Kampf finally make his NHL debut at some point this week. Kampf, who was acquired at the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline, has yet to play a game for Washington due to ongoing complications with immigration and then returning to Vancouver to be with his wife for the birth of their second child.
