Spooky season is officially here and ahead of Halloween, Airbnb is deploying anti-party measures to help reduce the risk of disruptive and unauthorized parties in South Carolina.

The company revealed several measures are in place this week for Halloween to prevent disruptive, one or two night parties.

The anti-party measures were first deployed in 2020 and Airbnb said since introducing them, there has been a 50% decrease in the rate of party reports to Airbnb.

Airbnb began enforcing anti-party policies in 2020, blocking almost 74,000 people around the world last year from being able to book a reservation around New Year's Eve.

Party-detection software is in use to deter Halloween bashes at Airbnb properties in Nashville and across the country this week.

Party hosts looking to book an Airbnb for the Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends will have to look elsewhere.
