BMW is now taking rear-seat entertainment into the future, and on Wednesday debuted a 31-inch Theater Screen in the new 7 Series sedan that puts some home theater setups to shame.

In addition to a large infotainment system, the new BMW 7-Series offers a comically large 31-inch rear-seat "Theater Screen." To cover that kind of acreage, the display has 8K resolution.

BMW unveiled the i7 xDrive60 luxury electric sedan, which will start at $120,295. The EV will get up to 300 miles of range and features a 31-inch, 8K screen in the back for passengers.

The BMW i7 will also look noticeably different on the outside from a regular 7 Series. The teasers suggest a bolder, blockier appearance with an illuminated kidney grille and super-thin headlights.
