It is the end of an error for newspapers in Metro Detroit as the printing presses will be shutting down in August.

Officials report that the owners of the Free Press, Gannett, did not come to terms with the landlord to renew the lease.

Upon the closure, printing operations for the Free Press and The Detroit News will be relocated "elsewhere in Michigan and in Ohio, Tennessee and Illinois," according to the Free Press report.
