Roxie, a 3-month-old red panda, died at the Edinburgh Zoo on Nov. 5 — known as Bonfire Night in the UK.

Their arrival comes after pandas in zoos around the U.S. were returned to China near the end of 2023. The same occurred in the U.K., with the Edinburgh Zoo’s panda loan ending after 10 years.

Veterinarians at the Edinburgh Zoo were elated when Roxie started to feed on her own. They’d been worried the 3-month-old red panda wouldn’t make it after her mother, Ginger, died mysteriously.

The Edinburgh Zoo, which is in the heart of the capital of Scotland, is home to an abundance of wildlife animals, many of which are endangered, like the Red Panda.
