Devonte Walters, the father of a baby girl, was initially in critical but stable condition but is now recovering at home from the attack.

The attack happened just after 11 a.m. on Sunday near the subway station on East 149th Street and Grand Concourse.

A 25-year-old man was stabbed on a northbound 5 train Sunday morning, according to the NYPD. The incident happened at 11:01 a.m. at the 149th Street – Grand Concourse station. The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.

The victim was riding an uptown No. 5 train approaching the E. 149th St.-Grand Concourse stop when a fellow passenger stabbed him several time.

Police released a phot of a man accused of stabbing and critically wounding another man aboard a Bronx subway train on Sunday.
