The second College Football Playoff rankings are here. No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Texas and No. 4 Penn State made up the top four spots as revealed Tuesday night, with BYU and Miami securing byes as projected conference champions.

Oregon stayed on top in the second batch of College Football Playoff rankings, while the new poll shoved Georgia completely out of the bracket after its lopsided loss to Mississippi.

There will be plenty of movement in the second edition of the 2024 rankings, as Georgia, and Miami both lost as a shakeup will surely happen. This is good news for the Irish, as the Bulldogs now have two losses while the Hurricanes showed that they have been overrated.
