The Sacramento County Department of Airports said a Nanchang CJ-6 made the landing around 10:50 a.m. on runway 20. There were no injuries or fire, and the pilot was the only one on board.
The Nanchang CJ-6 is a Chinese military aircraft from the 1960s used for basic training. Neither pilot has been identified. It’s not clear what caused the collision.
But the plane was identified by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Nanchang model CJ-6. That’s a Chinese military trainer that’s also used for general aviation and crop-spraying work.
