Dawn Staley’s No. 1 South Carolina team beat No. 9 N.C. State 71-57 as part of a women’s college basketball doubleheader at the Ally Tipoff in Charlotte Sunday. A crowd of 15,424 — slightly more than came to watch Iowa and Caitlin Clark in the same event a year ago — attended.

No. 1 South Carolina and No. 9 NC State are set to clash on Sunday in a huge non-conference women’s college basketball game that will be played at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte as part of this year’s Ally Tipoff event.
