SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The City of Springfield Department of Public Works is reminding residents that there will be no trash or recycle pick up on Christmas and New Years Day.

Springfield residents who have municipal trash, recycling, and yard waste collection on Tuesday and Wednesday will begin at 5:00 a.m. due to the heat wave, with temperatures reaching the upper 90’s.
