The crash happened on Thursday just before 7:15 p.m. local time on a highway near Henry's Lake State Park in eastern Idaho, about 16 miles west of Yellowstone National Park.

A pickup truck and a tour van collided on a highway leading to Yellowstone National Park, leaving seven people dead and eight others injured, Idaho State Police said.

The deaths of at least six foreign nationals in a crash in eastern Idaho are a reminder of the road dangers faced by visitors, many from around the world, to two of the busiest U.S. national parks, Yellowstone and Grand Teton.
