Select Tesla Model Y in inventory are getting steep discounts as the electric car maker gears up for release of the updated Model Y in the U.S.

New photos and a video of the refreshed Model Y have been circulating on social media in China as Tesla begins delivering the first cars to dealerships across the country. In related news, Tesla confirmed that production of the updated electric crossover has also started at Gigafactory Berlin in Germany for the European market.

Several sources claim that Tesla has already built the first new Model Y at its Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany. According to German media outlet Handelsblatt, the company was scheduled to start producing the new car, also known by its codename "Juniper", on Tuesday.

Now, with the new Model Y in China, Tesla has launched a new color called “Glacier Blue”: It is a much lighter blue than Tesla’s ‘deep blue metallic’ currently offered on vehicles outside of China. I like this blue better than the previous blue. Could use a little more saturation but maybe that depends on the light.
