The Cincinnati Bengals had one of the worst defenses in the NFL last season, and this year, they’re somehow worse, and that was on full display during the team’s 39-38 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.
The Cincinnati Bengals announced they released defensive tackle Mike Pennel. Pennel had 15 tackles in the eight games in which he played for Cincinnati. The Bengals also placed linebacker Shaka Heyward and center Matt Lee on the reserve/injured list.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Oct. 28 that the team is working out former Baltimore Ravens safety Eddie Jackson and former Cincinnati Bengals safety Vonn Bell. Steelers safety DeShon Elliott was carted off with a knee injury during Pittsburgh's Week 8 loss to Green Bay.
