The Canucks agreed with defenseman Marcus Pettersson on a six-year contract extension worth $33 million on Wednesday, just days after Pettersson arrived from Pittsburgh in a trade.

The Vancouver Canucks signed recently acquired defenseman Marcus Pettersson to a six-year, $33 million contract extension.

Pettersson has had a strong start to his Canucks career. In two games, the 6'5" defenceman has three hits and three blocks while averaging 24:30 of ice time. Pettersson has also seen time on the penalty kill and has recorded three shots on net.
