Carlos Alcaraz has conceded that Jannik Sinner is currently on another level than him and every other player on the ATP Tour after lifting his third Grand Slam at the 2025 Australian Open. Sinner added a second AO title to last year's US Open success to continue his reign of dominance as the world No. 1.

On the latest edition of the well-known podcast hosted by Andy Roddick, former WTA star Kim Clijsters analyzed how Sinner and Alcaraz are changing tennis: "Current players hit the ball much more violently than they did a few years ago. They no longer like to stay away from the baseline with a few exceptions, such as Daniil Medvedev.

Carlos Alcaraz responded to Patrick Mouratoglou's comments, in which he said that Jannik Sinner wasn't the best current player.

Mouratoglou pointed out that Alcaraz plays a riskier style that results in more unforced errors, while Sinner "plays at a crazy high pace without missing." He likes Alcaraz's power and ability to change rhythm. In comparison, Sinner "plays everything at the same extremely high pace."

Jakub Mensik burst into the scene at the 2023 US Open when he was just 17, and there, he had reached the third round. And since then he has been a consistent performer on the ATP Tour.
