U.S. Rep. Al Green of Houston was censured by the U.S. House of Representatives Thursday after his outburst during President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress on Tuesday night, which ended with the House Sergeant of Arms removing the 77-year-old Democrat from the chamber.

Green, a Democrat from Houston, was protesting any planned cuts in Medicaid. He said it was worth a punishment to stand up for those who depend on government benefits.
