India has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that he helped New Delhi and Islamabad reach a ceasefire in exchange for trade concessions

The ceasefire had been expected to bring a swift end to weeks of escalating clashes triggered by the mass shooting of tourists last month that India blames on Pakistan.

With last-minute U.S. mediation, cooler heads prevailed between India and Pakistan. But a flare-up is inevitable.

Pakistan's army said on Tuesday that more than 50 people were killed in last week's military clashes with India which ended in a ceasefire agreed by the nuclear-armed neighbours, restoring peace to their border.

The Pakistan Super League is set to resume this weekend after a ceasefire between Pakistan and India. “Let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket," he posted. Pakistan and India agreed to a truce last Saturday after talks to defuse their most serious military confrontation in decades.

Shilpak Ambule, India's high commissioner to Singapore said that "everybody is on operational alert. But that does not mean that our India growth story and focus on economy gets affected." His comments come against the backdrop of tensions between India and Pakistan,
