It's a new day in NXT as both Oba Femi & Giulia captured the brand's ultimate prizes Tuesday night at New Year's Evil.

Oba Femi is the new NXT Champion. At NXT New Year’s Evil, he defeated Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a three-way match to become the new champion. This ends Williams’ reign with the championship after 93 days, when he defeated Ethan Page for the title during NXT’s premiere on the CW back on October 1.

The Rock made a special appearance at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil. “The Final Boss” stayed in town after appearing at the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere in Los Angeles, as he went to NXT New Year’s Evil the next day.

The real Final Boss showed up on NXT as The Rock told fans to not to be hypocrites when it comes to his treatment of Cody Rhodes.

In the opening match of NXT New Year’s Evil in Los Angeles, Giulia kicked off the new year by defeating Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s title. This ends Perez’s 274 day reign with the title after defeating Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand and Deliver last April.

WWE NXT's New Year’s Evil on January 7, 2025, featured exhilarating matches and significant title changes at The Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Giulia won the NXT Women’s Championship, while Oba Femi captured the NXT Championship.
