CLEVELAND, Ohio — You’ll need the umbrella for at least one more day as Northeast Ohio stays locked in a cool, unsettled pattern as lake-effect rain continues downwind of Lake Erie before drier air and high pressure bring a break for the weekend.
A back-and-forth Bay Area weather pendulum that has swung between some wet October days and some gorgeously sunny and warm ones began to swing back toward the wet stuff Wednesday, courtesy of a system moving up the Central Coast from the south. Come the weekend, it will be a system descending from the north that may cause the rain to fall.
Central Texas has its first decent chance at significant rainfall since early September this weekend, possibly ending a record October dry spell.
Drought conditions in Ohio saw only modest changes over the past week, according to the latest report. Rain on Wednesday and Thursday was not included in the update.
