A West Palm Beach man accused of making online threats against President Donald Trump was placed on in-house arrest. According to court records, Shannon D. Atkins was placed on in-house arrest on Wednesday.

A man in West Palm Beach, Florida has been arrested after being accused of making threats against President Trump, police say.

But 46-year old Shannon Atkins has to follow several conditions in order to get out of jail, including staying away from ALL social media.

Shannon Depararro Atkins, 46, admitted writing the posts, but said he was joking. Police did not find any weapons when they arrested him.

Atkin was transported to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Main Detention Center where WPBPD says he faces a second-degree felony of written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, and possession of cocaine.

The man has been arrested on one count of written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.
