Buddy the Elf is apparently now a smoking, drinking, scowling hockey fan, as Will Ferrell reprises iconic role from the holiday classic 'Elf' movie at the Kings-Flyers game.

Buddy the Elf is back…although not like anyone could imagine. Will Ferrell unexpectedly dressed up as his iconic character from Jon Favreau’s 2003 Christmas comedy “Elf” while attending the Dec. 29 hockey game between the Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers.

The star comic left people in stitches when he dressed up as a grizzled version of his happy-go-lucky character from the 2003 Christmas comedy “Elf” and headed to a hockey game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Philadelphia Flyers at L.

2024 was a rough year for a lot of folks, and one particular figure, most associated with irrepressible hope and joy, appears to have borne the brunt of it: Buddy the Elf, who showed up to a hockey game in Los Angeles this weekend looking extremely haggard and bedraggled.

While attending the hockey game with his family, Ferrell broke character to smoke, drink, and look grumpy while dressed as Buddy.

Ferrell, 57, puffed on a fake cigarette and said it had been a tough holiday season as he watched the Los Angeles Kings win 5-4.
