As the rain moves northeast into northern Lower Michigan, it will hit cold ground and become freezing rain there. This would include Big Rapids briefly, Clare, Houghton Lake, Tawas City, Alpena, Rogers City, Cheboygan, Charlevoix and Petoskey.
