On the first Sunday in May, we caught up with Bad Bunny (born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio) while he was taking a break from an ongoing domino tournament with his friends to get a mani/pedi at his hotel. “We wanted something classic because we really wanted to experiment with textures.”

Bad Bunny was one of the event’s co-chairs last year, this year replaced by A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams (alongside Anna Wintour) as the 2025 Met Gala theme celebrated the Costume Institute’s new exhibition Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
