The hottest temperatures recorded Monday in North Texas was 90 degrees at Possum Kingdom State Park. However, since the NWS uses DFW Airport as their main climate site for North Texas, the Feb. 3 record stands at 84 degrees. Sunny and warm conditions will persist this week, ahead of a cold front later this weekend.
Record-high temperatures in store this week for North Texas
A couple of cold fronts will impact North Texas this week, but the cooler air associated with these fronts will remain north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a result, we will have to wait until late Saturday for the next significant cool-down.
