The Biden administration is awarding $3 billion to U.S. companies to boost domestic production of advanced batteries and other materials used for electric vehicles, part of a continuing push to reduce China’s global dominance in battery production.

Following the Biden Administration's prohibitive taxation of Chinese-made EVs, the US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced more than $3 billion in funding for 25 projects across 14 states, targeted at increasing the local production of advanced batteries and battery materials.

The $3 Billion financial grants will fund 25 projects in 14 states, including election battleground states such as Michigan and North Carolina.
