LONDON—Norwegian energy company Equinor has selected local rotorcraft operator Lufttransport RW AS as one of the operators of a new fleet of helicopters to service its offshore platforms.

The original well was in the early phases of drilling when unexpected shallow gas was encountered which meant it had to be suspended and the partnership of Equinor and OKEA could redesign the well.
