Liberty Hill was awarded the 5AII state championship after it was ruled Highland Park used an ineligible player.

Editor's note: About six hours after Liberty Hill was defeated in the state championship game, the UIL announced that Dallas Highland Park would forfeit the game for using an ineligible play.
