We've seen multiple new Surface devices launch in the last year, and apparently Microsoft has at least two more on the way in the next couple of months.

Microsoft is set to release affordable Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models under $1,000, bringing premium design and performance to a broader audience.

Earlier this year, Qualcomm announced Snapdragon X: a new lower-end CPU for budget laptops. Now, Microsoft is tipped to equip both the new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models with Snapdragon X or Snapdragon X Plus.

It's now marked down 27% to $879.99. This 13" flexible laptop-tablet with a Snapdragon processor, loads of RAM, and plenty of storage is ready for work or play on the go.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft is about to release new smaller versions of the Surface Pro 2-in-1 and Surface Laptop “in the coming weeks.” These new versions will remain premium products, with 11-inch or 12-inch screens and more lightweight designs.

Microsoft has been working on a smaller Surface Pro for a while, and it seems to finally be happening in the coming weeks.

Smaller, cheaper 11-inch versions of the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro are reportedly on their way. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Plus chips, they will still be premium, metal-clad devices, it is claimed.
