President Trump said he would personally cover the cost of per diem pay for two astronauts stranded in space for nine months, calling their $5-a-day compensation “not a lot” after what they endured.

Boeing leaders are scheduled to meet with the astronauts, according to Barry Wilmore, who spent nine months in orbit with Sunita Williams for a mission that was supposed to last for about eight days.
