A Wall Street Journal report late Thursday added new scrutiny to President Donald Trump’s relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

President Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch and the Wall Street Journal over claims he sent Epstein a lewd birthday letter.

President Donald Trump’s base vigorously defended him in the wake of a Thursday Wall Street Journal report that he wrote a sexually suggestive letter to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday, with some claiming the alleged letter doesn’t sound like the president.

President Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, and Rupert Murdoch over a report of an alleged birthday letter from Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. Trump denies he wrote such a letter.

"I have asked the Justice Department to release all grand jury testimony with respect to Epstein," Trump said.

The Justice Department said unsealing grand jury transcripts related to Epstein's case is necessary given "longstanding and legitimate" public interest in the case.

Trump said the release of grand jury testimony linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s indictment will not be “good enough” for those seeking more information on Epstein and his associates.
