(KOAM) -- Hallmark is recalling Cad Bane Christmas Tree Ornaments due to risk of mold exposure. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the brown paint on the exterior of the recalled Christmas tree ornaments did not fully dry before packaging, causing mold to grow on the exterior surface of the ornament.

Hallmark is recalling its keepsake Christmas Tree Ornament featuring Cad Bane from Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett after 12 consumers discovered it had mould.

According to the CPSC, the brown paint on the ornament's exterior did not fully dry prior to packaging. This caused mold to grow on the surface, which poses a risk of respiratory issues to consumers. The firm reported 16 cases of mold found on the tree ornaments upon removal from their packaging. However, no injuries have been reported.
