A family party was taking place and an uninvited guest was asked to leave the home. That person is believed to have started shooting, which prompted return fire from others, police said.

An 18-year-old man died in the shooting. His identity was still pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences late Sunday.
