Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned that the Israeli parliament’s moves toward annexing the already occupied West Bank could imperil President Donald Trump ‘s plan to end the conflict in Gaza.

US Vice President JD Vance has called the Israeli lawmakers’ vote over West Bank annexation personally insulting and “very stupid.”

The United Nations’ top court issued a legal opinion Wednesday stating that Israel, as an occupying power, is obligated to work with UN agencies to facilitate humanitarian aid in Gaza, a rebuke of the blockade it imposed on the Palestinian enclave earlier this year.
