The Dodgers could do little to pressure Brewers pitching phenom Jacob Misiorowski, falling 3-1 in Milwaukee on Tuesday. It was the Dodgers' fifth straight loss.

Earlier this week, top pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers was thrown into the fire as he matched up with legendary pitcher Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers. This would mark Misiorowski's fourth career start.

In his six innings of work, Misiorowski gave up only that one run on four hits. He walked one. He struck out 12. That is one shy of the Brewers' rookie record ( Freddy Peralta, now Misioroski's teammate, struck out 13 on May 13, 2018).

Clayton Kershaw told reporters that he wasn’t familiar with Brewers rookie fireballer Jacob Misiorowski going into their matchup at American Family Field. Misiorowski saw the quote. And then he did something about it.

After being dismissive when asked about Misiorowski ahead of Tuesday’s game, Kershaw praises the hard-throwing Brewers right-hander’s performance against the Dodgers.
