Head coach Kyle Shanahan has decided that Jake Moody will kick for the 49ers in their season finale this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Shanahan announced this Tuesday on a conference call with Bay Area reporters.

While the San Francisco 49ers were already out of playoff contention Monday, kicker Jake Moody might soon learn there was still something important to play for: his job. The former third-round draft pick missed both of his field goal attempts in the 40-34 loss to the Lions and even whiffed on his final extra point of the game as a cherry on top of his underwhelming performance.
