The Orange County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that it was charging Westminster councilmember Amy Phan West with trying to bribe her way out of her husband’s Jeep getting towed.
The DA’s Office alleges Phan West told the officers she is friendly with the Westminster police chief and was trying to get raises for police personnel.
Phan West stands accused of identifying herself as a councilwoman to two city parking officers in April 2023 in attempting to stop them from towing a Jeep registered to her husband.
