An 11-mile stretch of California’s Pacific Coast Highway is reopening just in time for Memorial Day weekend — ahead of schedule! Crews have been working to clear debris and remove unsafe structures after the Palisades Fire back in January.

Nearly six months after wildfires erupted in Southern California, closing the Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles and burning thousands of acres, the iconic West Coast highway has reopened to the public.

Though PCH will once again welcome traffic, the Pacific Palisades will remain closed to the public, with law enforcement checkpoints.
