New Orleans' start to the 2024-25 season is already riddled with injuries, including the new setbacks to CJ McCollum and Herb Jones.

In addition to already being without Dejounte Murray, who fractured his left hand in New Orleans' first game of the season, which is expected to keep him sidelined for 4-6 weeks, as well as Trey Murphy,

The New Orleans Pelicans announced on Friday that Herb Jones and CJ McCollum will both miss extended periods of time with shoulder and adductor injuries, respectively. Jones sustained a right shoulder strain and a small low-grade partial thickness tear in his rotator cuff.

The team announced Friday that forward Herbert Jones suffered a right shoulder strain and tear in his rotator cuff and will be sidelined for two to four weeks, depending on how he responds to treatment and rehab. Additionally, guard CJ McCollum sustained a right adductor strain that is expected to keep him out for two to three weeks.

Herb Jones has suffered a right shoulder strain, while CJ McCollum is out with a right adductor strain. Both will miss at least two weeks.

Pelicans guard CJ McCollum will miss two to three weeks, while forward Herb Jones is out two to four weeks because of injuries, the team announced.
