A British man appeared in court on Friday charged with causing grievous bodily harm after a car ploughed into a crowd of Liverpool soccer fans injuring almost 80 during this week's Premier League title victory parade.

The man accused of driving into a crowd of fans during Liverpool’s Premier League victory parade is set to appear in court. Liverpool native Paul Doyle is facing seven charges, including two counts of wounding with intent and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm to six people.

A total of 79 people were injured after a car drove into a crowd after Liverpool Football Club’s trophy parade.
