Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz will not play in Thursday's game against the visiting Montreal Canadiens due to an upper-body injury.

He left the game after just fourt shifts and 2:27 of ice time. The Stars said their leading scorer is dealing with an upper body injury. With Hintz not on the bench, Wyatt Johnston is filling in for Dallas’ star forward on the top line.

The Dallas Stars are going to be missing one of their top offensive weapons. When speaking to the media, head coach Pete DeBoer revealed that forward Roope Hintz will not be playing on Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens.

Roope Hintz will not play for the Stars against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; Victory+, TSN2, RSN) because of an upper-body injury. The forward left a 4-1 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday at 7:25 of the first period and did not return after taking a hit from Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews.
