Left-hander Sean Manaea, who has missed the entire season to date rehabbing right oblique and left elbow injuries, could still return before the All-Star break. Manaea is scheduled to make one more Minor League rehab start Tuesday to stretch out to 75-plus pitches.

Right-hander Mets’ Kodai Senga was activated off the injured list Friday afternoon for the series opener against the Kansas City Royals.

Friday marked the official start of the second half of the season, which is more of a symbolic day than anything. The actual halfway point of the schedule passed weeks ago. Friday is simply the time when players return from the All-Star break.
