A US Army soldier, who died in a Tesla Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas on January 1, said the blast served as a "wake-up call" for America and said that people "only pay attention to spectacles and violence".

Police said Matthew Livelsberger, 37, an active-duty Army soldier from Colorado Springs, killed himself with a gunshot to the mouth. Officals said it appeared to be a “tragic case of suicide.”
