A pickup in the westbound Higway 240 turn lane waits for an oncoming semi-truck to turn into the Horn Rapids housing development onto Village Parkway Monday morning in Richland. A WSP trooper accused of driving under the influence and fatally hitting a motorcyclist in Richland has been placed on administrative leave.

Sarah Clasen was arrested after she collided with a motorcyclist while allegedly drunk at an intersection in Village Parkway in Richland at around 7:39 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 1, the Richland WA Police Department announced. The victim, identified as Jhoser Sanchez, later died in the hospital.
